  • Mac OS Hardware Support Update for Secure Browser

    Apple released new computer models this week that utilize a new type of processor ('M1'), a departure from previous Intel-based processor models. The Secure Browser is temporarily incompatible with this new processor, and CAI is working to update the Secure Browser to support the hardware change.

    Note: This hardware change does not affect Secure Browser compatibility with any currently supported MacOS systems owned prior to November 17, 2020.

    While the Secure Browser is being updated, the following Apple computer models with a production date of November 17, 2020 or later are temporarily unsupported with the Secure Browser:

    • Macbook Air (All models)
    • MacBook Pro (Select 13" models with M1 processor configuration)
    • Mac Mini (Select models with M1 processor configuration)
    Please utilize an alternate supported configuration, such as a Chromebook, supported Windows machine, or supported Intel-based Mac for testing until the Secure Browser has been updated.

    The RISE mid-year summative assessments are now available. Please review and set your testing windows to prevent any accidental administration of the summative assessments.
